- Favorite Food: Peanuts and dog bone treats
- Family: Solo. Orphaned when young. Has adopted three orphans as his sounder.

- Dislikes: All Dogs. All Humans (except that nice lady that feeds me treats and that man with her)
- Needs: Temporary shelter in the cold. Antibiotics. Brucellosis cure. Pain relief. Fenced land to keep hunters away.
We appreciate you adopting one of our family members. Gimpy is by far one of our favorites and the most needy. Although he would never think that. He knows he is different and not as fast or as agile as the other pigs, but he has learned he is strong and fearless. When he adopted the three orphaned pigs, even in his own wounded state, it was enough to make us cry. He is truly a cherished member of our pack. We will take your donation and use it to give him and his family a better life.

We appreciate you adopting one of our family members. Brownie is one of our favorites and the last of the oldest pigs in our family. Brownie was bitten by a venomous snake when she was young and was nearly euthanized. But she showed her strength and overcame the pain and recovered. Brownie and her sister Piglet were the first of the older piglets to become mothers. Both being very compassionate, Brownie was a very good mother, often caring for her sister’s and aunt’s (CoCo) piglets while they rested or fed. the most needy. Brownie contracted Brucellosis after her first litter and the disease took her from a healthy 125 pounds down to about 45 pounds. It also limited her mobility, twisting her back leg in a constant pained position. Brownie turned to us for help and we gave her a special place to eat and stay away from the other pigs who bullied her. She soon started to recover and went on to raise a second litter of piglets with her sister Piglet. Unfortunately Piglet was killed by a hunter which sent Brownie into severe grief and depression. It wasn’t until one of her piglets, Limpy, who was injured by an adult pig, started to look and act like Piglet that Brownie started to come around and become the caring mother once again. Sadly, Limpy was also killed by hunters just this last winter. Brownie still suffers from horrible back and leg pain, and migraines so bad she just stops and stares for long periods of time. We will take your donation and use it to try to find a cure for her disease and give Brownie a better life.

We appreciate you adopting Gimpy’s new family members. These piglets were separated from their birth mothers by trespassing hunters. Fortunately they found each other and knowing one place where they felt safe, they came to our facility. Because they were not yet weaned, we provided food with a milk supplement but feared that without a guardian, these piglets would not last a week in the wild. Fortunately Gimpy returned, still hurting from his encounter with the hunters and his castration, he nevertheless accepted the piglets as they came to him, so happy to see other pigs. Gimpy grew up overnight it seemed, as he became their guardian and their herd leader. These piglets are now healthy and happy, and help take care of Gimpy while he takes care of them. But they are still very young and will certainly suffer from Brucellosis and in a few months the gilts will reach early breeding age and will fall under the harassment of the mature boars. We will take your donation and use it to try to find a cure for their disease and complete our implementation of the contraception vaccine in order to give Little Man, Little Sister and Big Sis a better life.
